Fried Pickle Fritters
You might also call them a pickle hush puppy.
Very simple recipe using a minimal ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Dill pickles (diced) Order dill pickles on Amazon
Learn My preferred pickles brands!
- Pickle juice brine
- Fried chicken breading (I used Louisiana Seasoned Chicken Fry Batter Mix) order on Amazon
- Cooking oil
- Ranch (or other dipping sauce)
You can use your own batter mix.
Directions:
- Preheat shallow oil in pan
- Mix ingredients together (diced pickles, batter mix and pickle juice brine)
- Spoon small amounts of mixed batter into hot oil
- Fry on both sides until golden brown
I just diced up a few pickles and sprinkled some of the matter mix and poured some of the brine enough to make a batter.
Next time, I’ll dice pickles smaller.
Dip in ranch or your favorite dipping sauce.
